Teaching
Tim Pears has taught creative writing since 1995, when he gave tutorials to students from Sarah Lawrence University, USA, studying in Oxford, and also joined the English Department at the University of Stockholm for half a term, under the auspices of the British Council.

He has taught at the University of Gloucester and the National Star Centre CFE, Cheltenham, addressed the MA in Creative Writing course at Christ Church Univerity College, Canterbury, and has been a regular visiting lecturer to the PgDip Writing Programme at Falmouth College of Arts.

He has been a regular guest tutor on the Undergraduate Diploma and Master of Studies in Creative Writing courses at the University of Oxford.

Alongside a variety of fellow tutors, Tim has taught on many Arvon Foundation residential courses and on two residential courses for Cheltenham Festival of Literature.

In 2002-03 he was Writer in Residence at Cheltenham Festival of Literature.

In 2006-08 and 2011-12 he was a Royal Literary Fund Fellow, at Oxford Brookes University.

In 2005 and 2009-10 he has been a course tutor on the Certificate and Diploma of Higher Education and the BA in English Studies and Creative Writing at Ruskin College, Oxford.
